Corruption can affect drop rates for loot as well as LP chances, among other things. Here is a list of everything affected by Corruption Level:
- Slightly increases LP chance and Weaver’s Will amount
- Prophecies are affected by corruption for LP chance
- Loot dropped by the Shade can have a minimum required Corruption level
- Item rarity increases
- Experience gained increases
- Monster HP and Damage is increased
- Timeline Stability earned from Echoes increases
- Increases area level in Standard Timelines
- Increases rarity of guaranteed Echo rewards in Empowered Timelines
- Memory Amber and Gold both scale with Corruption, though these both have diminishing returns, so players might see less of an increase than they expect
Empowering a Unique item through a Nemesis is unaffected by level and Corruption. This is to prevent encouraging players saving up all the Uniques that they want to use in Nemesis and only using them once they've reached very high Corruption.
- Corruption does increase the odds of improving the effect of empowering Rare and Exalted items in Nemesis though.
