Game client errors
This is a generic error shown by Unity when the game crashes. There may be several causes as to why this occurs with the most common being due to the lack of virtual memory left to properly run the game.
We recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
- Restart your computer.
- Checking that all your drivers are up to date.
- Running a system scan to ensure there are no corrupt files on your computer.
- Using Steam to verify the game files.
- Changing your Steam launch option to
-force-d3d12or-force-vulkan - Disabling overlays and monitoring tools (for example: GeForce Experience)
- Disabling NVIDIA Image Sharpening
- Reinstalling NVIDIA Audio drivers
Steam errors
"An error occurred while installing Last Epoch"
This is a generic error message shown by Steam when games cannot be installed. We recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
- Restart your computer.
- Clear your Steam download cache.
- Checking that you have enough space on your SSD or HDD.
- Changing your Steam download region.
- Flagging Steam as a trusted application with your anti-virus program.
"An error occurred while updating Last Epoch"
This is a generic error message which signifies that Steam cannot complete the update process. We recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
- Restart your computer.
- Clear your Steam download cache.
- Using Steam to verify the game files.
- Checking that you have enough space on your SSD or HDD.
- Flagging the game as a trusted application with your anti-virus program.
Steam Connection Required /Update Account
We recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
- Clear out your Steam download cache
- Fully close out of Steam
- Reopen it as usual (if it still populates the error relaunch in Admin mode)
How to clear your Steam download cache
- Open Steam
- Click on Settings in the top-left corner
- Select Downloads
- Click Clear Download Cache

Common display errors for Last Epoch are as follows:
Account based errors:
LE-30: The account name you are trying to use is already being used by another player.
LE-54: The account name you are trying to use is using a special character or a space.
LE-56: The account name you are trying to use contains a slur, profanity, etc.
LE-45: Your account is banned.
Server based errors:
LE-55: The game couldn't not access the game servers.
LE-77: The game is out of date due to a newly released game update.
Game based errors:
LE-64: The monolith you are trying to interact with is not unlocked.
