Merchant’s Guild is an Item Faction that enables trading with other players who are also aligned with Merchant’s Guild within the same Season and Game Mode (Normal or Hardcore). You’ll be able to align with them for the first time during Chapter 9 of the campaign. All trades require exchanging gold for items, no item-to-item trades are possible.
When aligned with the Merchant’s Guild for the first time, you’ll start at rank 1 which enables selling all equippable items that aren’t untradable, and the purchases of Normal, Magic and Rare items.
All trades done at the Bazaar require Favor, a currency gained while slaying enemies and completing quests while aligned with Merchant’s Guild. Selling items requires much less Favor than purchasing them.
Ranks can be increased by gaining Reputation with the Faction, which is done by gaining experience and spending Favor by buying and selling items, or spending it at the Merchant Guild’s representative. Higher ranks unlock more options to purchase valuable items, and maximum rank allows for any equippable item to be purchased. Open the Factions Window for more details (bound to Y by default).
The Bazaar is a town area near Maj’elka in Divine Era, visited in Chapter 9 during the campaign. Filled with stalls for different item types, players are able to search and filter precisely what they want to buy from other players. Trading through Bazaar is asynchronous, meaning you will not need to interact with other players to complete trades. Instead, buying an item will send it to your inventory if you have space for it.
While aligned with Merchant’s Guild, two different tokens can be found that bypass some trade restrictions: - Merchant’s Token allows the purchase of an item at the Bazaar while ignoring the Favor cost. - Black Market Token allows the purchase of an item at the Bazaar while ignoring the Favor cost and Rank requirement, and any item purchased with a Black Market Token will only require Rank 1 in Merchant’s Guild to equip.
